Wind Caves

Wind Caves

The hike to the wind caves in Logan Canyon is one of the most popular hikes for locals. It is a trail that can be very narrow and steep in places, but it's a relatively short hike. At the top there are some caves that were carved out of the mountainside by years of wind and water erosion. You also get a pretty good view of the canyon and mountains surrounding you.

Some wildlife you might see while hiking are: lizards, ground squirrels, many species of bird, garter snakes, an occasional rattlesnake, and others.

I am an amateur nature/scenic photographer. Here are some of the pictures I took when I hiked to the wind caves back in October of 2008. We had the fall colors, but it was also snowing.

Sorry about the writing across the photos.
It is my feeble attempt at preventing people from stealing them.
